Monday Morning Message

What are you anticipating?

· 1 min read

Welcome to my Monday Morning Message

What if, just for today, you expected things to go well?

I anticipate the best outcome.

Let that phrase land for a moment. In fact I would love you to say it out loud 10 times!

Because if we’re honest, many of us do the opposite.

We anticipate the worst.....

We anticipate the awkward conversation with our boss.

The travel delay that could ruin our trip.

The test going poorly.

Our minds try to prepare us by rehearsing what could go wrong.

And it makes sense. That part of you is trying to protect you.

But what if protection didn’t have to feel like fear or tension?

What if, instead, you gently caught yourself in those moments.

Not with judgment, but with awareness?

“Ah… I see what I’m doing.”

And then, with just a small shift, you say to yourself something new:

I anticipate the best outcome.

Not to control the future— but to support yourself in the present.

Because when you expect the best outcomes: Your breath deepens. Your heart beat slows. Your energy shifts from guarded… to open.

And from that place, you show up differently. More grounded. More calm. More like yourself.

This doesn’t mean everything will go perfectly.

But it does mean you are no longer living in a constant rehearsal of what could go wrong.

So this week, notice when your mind drifts toward worst-case scenarios.

Catch it—lovingly. Smile and gently remind yourself:

I anticipate the best outcome.

See what changes. Have fun this week! Spring is here!

With warmth, Colette
