You have to shed like a Snake to gallop like a Horse!
Hello from sunny LA
Welcome to my Monday Morning Message!
What to Shed Before the Fire Horse Arrives
According to the Chinese calendar, and many, many Instagram posts, we are in the final 2 weeks of the Year of the Snake—a year of reflection, wisdom, and quiet transformation.
On February 17, we move into the Year of the Fire Horse, an energy that is bold, expressive, fast-moving, and forward-focused. The Horse doesn’t carry excess weight. It runs free.
This makes the 2 weeks ahead of us an ideal moment to shed what no longer fits—so we can enter this next season lighter and clearer and harness the energy of the horse.
These are 5 things worth releasing now:
1. Old stories about who you are If a belief keeps you stuck or small, it won’t serve you in a year that asks for courage and momentum. So stop telling those old stories in your head or out loud.
2. Lingering self-doubt The Fire Horse moves through action, not perfection. Let go of waiting to feel “ready.” You have to start somewhere!
3. Overthinking and second-guessing Reflection is valuable—but too much thinking can stall growth. Forward motion creates clarity. Keep Moving!
4. Stop People Pleasing. The Fire Horse is authentic and self-directed. Stop looking for approval and go live your authentic life.
5. Physical belongings you’ve outgrown (Getting Rid of Junk ): Clutter holds emotional weight and makes you feel yucky. Releasing clutter creates real and energetic space for what’s next. Declutter a bit every day.
Shedding isn’t about loss—it’s about freedom. As February 16 approaches, ask yourself: What am I ready to release so I can move forward with more ease, clarity, and confidence?
You have 2 weeks....ready, set, go!
With warmth, Colette
