Monday Morning Message

Once in a Blue Moon....A Second Invitation

· 1 min read

Welcome to my Monday Morning Message

I recently learned what a Blue Moon actually is.

On May 31st, the last day of this month, we will have the second full moon in May. That is what makes it a Blue Moon. Not because the moon turns blue, but because it is rare.

An extra full moon. An unexpected one. A little more light than usual.

I love that.

It feels like nature is handing us a second invitation. A second opportunity.

Not necessarily a loud one. Not a dramatic one. Just a quiet moment to pause and ask, “Is there anything that needs my attention before I step into June?”

Maybe something you have been wanting to do. Or afraid to do.

Second chances are not always big and dramatic.

Sometimes they look like making a phone call. Apologizing. Reaching out. Clearing up a small disagreement. Or deciding that a story is not over yet.

Maybe it is relearning how to play the piano. Or the guitar. Or picking up something you once loved and quietly put down.

I think most of us know when something needs our attention. It can feel like a little itch inside. Something unfinished. Something we keep thinking about, even when we try not to.

And maybe it is not too late.

Maybe this Blue Moon is simply a beautiful reminder to take one extra quiet moment with yourself.

Away from your phone. Away from the noise. Away from everyone else’s opinions.

Just sit still long enough to listen.

As we move into June, ask yourself:

Where do I have a second chance?

It can be small. It can be big. It can be fun.

Trust what comes up when you get quiet.

Sometimes the next right thing is already inside us. We just need enough quiet to hear it.

Wishing you a beautiful Memorial Day. May we be grateful for those who gave their lives in service to our country.

With Warmth,

Colette
