Monday Morning Message

THE FRONT ROW

· 1 min read

Welcome to my Monday Morning Message!

Recently I was thinking about something my coach, Susanne Conrad, says:
“Be in someone’s front row.”

I love that image.

Think about the front row of a theater.
You are close enough to see everything — the effort, the nerves, the courage it takes to step onto the stage. From the front row you aren’t critiquing the performance. You’re witnessing it.

Being in someone’s front row means standing in possibility for them.
Cheering for their courage.
Encouraging their attempts.
Believing in them even when they are still figuring things out.

But if we are honest, sometimes we slip out of the front row.

Sometimes judgment quietly replaces encouragement.
We question someone’s choices.
We compare their path to our own.
We wonder if they’re doing it “right.”

And while those thoughts can seem small and harmless, they slowly move us further away from the people we care about.

Being in someone’s front row asks us to be our best selves.

In the front row we say:
“I see you trying something brave.”
“I believe in you.”
“I’m here cheering for you.”

Now the big question of the day...

Are you sitting in the front row of your own life?

Or are you sitting in the back — quietly judging your own choices, doubting your path, hesitating to step fully onto the stage?

This week, consider moving closer.

Be in the front row of your own growth.
Be in the front row for the people you love.

Because life becomes a lot richer when we stop critiquing the performance…
and start cheering for the courage it takes to show up.

If someone came to mind while you were reading this, send this message to them and let them know you are in their front row.

With warmth, Colette
