Monday Morning Message

What Would Summer-You Thank You For?

· 1 min read

Welcome to my Monday Morning Message!

If time is going to move this fast, we might as well move with it.

Can you believe it’s already March??

I had five people say that to me this weekend.

Well… yes. It is March. And honestly? It’s February’s fault. February is just too short.

But back to March.

March is named after Mars — the Roman god of action. Not reflection. Not Netfix every night. Not more coffee on the couch. Action.

In the ancient Roman calendar, March was the start of the year. It was when life officially moved forward. Seeds were planted. Campaigns launched. Things began.

Here’s the exciting part:

What you start in March shapes your summer.

The resume you update now becomes the opportunity that shows up in June. The honest conversation you have now becomes the lighter relationship you enjoy later. The boundary, the workout, the savings plan, the outreach email — these are seeds you are planting.

Adults: March effort creates a calmer May.

Students: March discipline means less panic at finals.

Parents: March intention creates a more present summer.

And I’ll be honest — this is the month I’m choosing to step more boldly into my coaching work… and it makes me a little cranky. I have to push outside my comfort zone. I notice my habit of hesitating. I need less waiting to feel “ready.” More action. More belief.

What I do know to be true is this: What I build now will shape what’s possible by summer.

March effort compounds. Momentum builds confidence. Confidence builds courage. Courage builds results.

So here’s the question:

What would summer-you be grateful you started today?

Take one step. Just one. One healthy habit.

Let’s march. Even when we get cranky!

With warmth, Colette
